Mary is facing an incredibly challenging time. Just last week, she suffered a stroke that has turned her world, and her family's, upside down. While we're so grateful she's out of the hospital, her road to recovery is much harder than it should be.

Mary has Marketplace Healthcare, but unfortunately, it's not covering the critical care she desperately needs. The doctors recommended acute inpatient rehabilitation, which is vital for stroke recovery, but her insurance has denied it. This means Mary has to recover at home, which, while comforting, also brings immense challenges.

She'll be receiving home healthcare, occupational therapy (OT), and physical therapy (PT) to help her regain strength and independence. However, the stroke has left her unable to work, and her husband will need to be her primary caregiver for the first few weeks, making it impossible for him to work during that crucial time.

This sudden loss of income, combined with the mounting medical bills and unexpected needs, is creating a huge financial strain on Mary and her husband. They are facing an uncertain path until Mary can either fully recover and return to work, or until disability assistance hopefully kicks in.
