Let me tell you about a man named John Peacock.

John is a devoted father to two incredible boys, Easton and JC, a loving and supportive husband, and truly a jack of all trades. His greatest joy has always been his family, coaching his sons’ ball teams, being present for every moment he could, and making sure his family always felt supported. John took pride in his home remodeling business. This business gave him the flexibility to be able to help his wife, Alaina, could chase her dream of coaching basketball.  However being self employed has left his family with the only income being Alaina’s teacher salary. 

On November 10th, Alaina and the boys’ world was suddenly turned upside down. John was involved in a serious accident while working on a house, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Life changed in an instant.

John is currently in Jacksonville, Florida, at a rehabilitation facility, working tirelessly toward recovery and hoping to return home to his family. With a TBI, there is no clear timeline, only patience, perseverance, and faith.

During this time, Alaina has had to make the incredibly difficult decision to step back from her coaching career so she can be fully present for John and their boys, and to help advocate for and support John through the rehabilitation process. While this choice was not easy, being together as a family during this season is essential for John’s healing.
