Philippines Exposure Trip

"You could be a dreamer but don't live in your bed." -Sho Baraka
It would be safe to say that we all dream of things, it might also be safe to say that the majority of us dream of a better world, where everyone has equal rights. The unfortunate reality is that this dream has not yet been realized. And we don't want to just dream about it, we need to do something about it.
One of the best ways to ensure our dream of a better world becomes reality is to educate others on why it's not and then on what the solution could be. And one of the best ways to educate others is to experience what is really happening firsthand, to be exposed, and then to bring back the stories of that exposure.
The Philippines has historically and does presently have a large amount of human rights violations being committed.
SO, I am Philippines-bound to go and represent the organization I am a part of here, NYCHRP (New York Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines) [check us out on Facebook or at NYCHRP.info], to be exposed to the conditions there, to bring back the stories of human rights victims, and to be in solidarity with our Filipino kasamas (companions).
Because not all of us can go at the same time, though I know we all wish we could, you can still be a part of the trip and helping to realize the dream through donations.
Sooooo if you have the desire or the means to help fund my trip with something as little as a dollar, that would be absolutely amaaaazinggg! : D
Thanks!
