3DPrinted Mask Shields for Healthcare Workers

Amidst the COVID-19 epidemic, we are going to get right to the point.
As we all are aware, there is a desperate need worldwide for N95 masks worn by medical professionals. Typically, a N95 mask is worn once and then disposed. But amid shortages medical workers are being instructed to recycle their masks for up to five days. As protective gear shortages put our medical workers at risk, we are developing a network to produce plastic prototype 3D-printed shields to place over the N95 masks to protect the N95 masks from splatter, and give them to the medical community for free.
We are also sharing our files with others with 3DPrinters who agree to make and distribute the shields FOR FREE.
Our goals is to get as many of these shields into the hands of medical works as quickly as possible.
Please chip-in what you can--a shield costs about 10 cents to make, and about $8 to ship. So far, we have been personally footing the bill for the shields. But, due to ENORMOUS response, we are asking for your financial support to cover the costs.
We are using at-home 3D printers, some elbow grease and good-old American ingenuity to support our heroic medical community until mask factories can catch-up and make this need irrelevant. Until that time, we need funds cover the materials, printers, and shipping. All donations go toward this effort. Any resources left over after this campaign will be donated to COVID-19 recovery charities.
