Hey everybody. I’m not one to ask for help but I’m quickly realizing this is a necessary thing to do. If you don’t know In the past 8 months, I've battled both long COVID and pneumonia, leaving me physically and financially drained. Moving to New York City in the middle of the pandemic was risky but I did it. Finally actualizing my dream of being a professional jeweler. Then involving myself in the local drag scene and completely falling in love with the community. All of these things that mean so much to me were taken away in one way or another. My artistic drive was quite literally killed. Beyond the emotional the physical pain I’ve experienced everyday for this period of time has taken a toll. I’ve lost almost 40 pounds and have major shortness of breath that makes going up and downstairs a workout. This just has put my life in a zone that I never knew I’d be in. I’ve finally got the help I needed being in the hospital for over a week very recently.however Medical bills are piling up, and my weakened immune system puts me at high risk for other viruses to do more damage. Like I said I don’t like asking for help like this but any support will make a difference in my journey towards recovery. I’m grateful to be alive. With the knowledge I have now this could have taken a very dark turn. Thank you for considering helping me through this challenging time.
