3D printing has consumed my life for the last three years. What started as a hobby has grown into a small business, and I truly love what I do. A while back, I was asked to donate some 3D prints to a local school for a charity fundraiser. When I went to deliver the items, I had the chance to meet several special needs children. That experience made me reflect on my own life and realize that, no matter how tough my day might be, I am still more fortunate than many others. There are so many people out there who just need a little help, and sometimes the medical field is more focused on profits than people.

I saw an opportunity to use my skills and resources to make a real difference. 3D printing offers a cost-effective way to help those who need it most. I have always wanted kids but never had the opportunity to have any of my own. My nieces and nephews adore me, and I love being their uncle. If I can't have children myself, then this is a way for me to give back—maybe even keep my 'cool uncle' status. Children are the most precious beings on earth, and I want to do my part to help them.

With your support, I can purchase the supplies needed to 3D print custom toddler wheelchairs for families in need. Every donation, big or small, will help provide mobility and independence to children who deserve every chance to explore their world. Thank you for considering a gift to this cause.

1. The Problem: The Mobility Gap in Early Childhood
The Critical Window: Early mobility (ages 1–5) is absolutely vital for cognitive, social, and motor
development. Children learn, engage, and grow by actively exploring their physical environment.
The Financial Barrier: Commercial pediatric wheelchairs and mobility trainers are notoriously
expensive, frequently costing families thousands of dollars out-of-pocket.
The Insurance Dilemma: Insurance providers regularly deny coverage for early childhood mobility
devices because young children grow too quickly, leaving low-income or under-insured families
stranded without viable options.
2. Our Solution: Open-Source, 3D-Printed Mobility Trainers
"Our mission is to bridge the early mobility gap by manufacturing affordable, lightweight, and fully
functional mobility trainers utilizing advanced additive manufacturing techniques."
Cost-Effective Engineering: By leveraging 3D printing and standardized structural hardware, we
reduce the production cost from thousands of dollars down to a fraction of commercial prices.
Agile & Robust Design: The trainers are purposefully designed to be exceptionally lightweight and
easily maneuverable for a young child, while maintaining the structural integrity to safely support
weights up to 50 lbs.
3. The Power of Personalization
We do not just build generic chairs; we build their chairs.
Psychological Impact: Young children can easily feel self-conscious, intimidated, or isolated by
clinical, cold-looking medical equipment.
Custom Aesthetics: Every single mobility trainer is manufactured using a vibrant color palette
chosen entirely by the receiving child (e.g., "superhero blue," "princess pink").
Fostering Joy: Transforming a medical necessity into a personalized, favorite toy drastically
increases the child's psychological adoption rate and excitement to use it.

4. Operating Model: 100% Free to Families
To ensure no child is left behind due to financial hardship, we operate on a strict donation-and-delivery
framework:
Donations Received
•
→
Raw Materials & Printing
Direct-to-Door Delivery
→
Personalized Assembly
Zero Cost to Families: Mobility trainers are donated entirely free of charge to selected families
experiencing financial distress.
•
Hand-Delivered Impact: We personally deliver the trainers to families' homes to ensure proper
custom fit, final adjustment, and to witness the child's first moments of independent movement.
5. Funding Request: Budget Breakdown
→
We are seeking funding to directly fuel our next manufacturing production run. Because our engineering
and assembly labor is entirely volunteered, 100% of proceeds go directly toward physical materials and
delivery logistics.
