3D Printed Masks for Doctors Fighting COVID
With the COVID-19 pandemic stressing the capabilities of our healthcare system, simple necessities, such as face masks, are running short in supply.
We are students from Tesla STEM High School in Washington State hoping to bridge the gap by 3D printing masks for hospitals that are facing shortages. We are working in collaboration with our school's tech and Biomed departments to ensure the highest proper sanitation and procedure.
Our 3D printing systems have the capability of producing nearly 160 masks per day. Funds will be used for buying supplies such as 3D printer filament, fabrics, and elastic.
DETAILS:
- Each mask costs 50 cents to produce, meaning EVERY $1 DONATED HELPS PRODUCE 2 MASKS.
- We will be donating all produced masks to hospitals that have shortages. We have already contacted numerous hospitals in our area that have confirmed they will happily accept these masks.
Thank you for your support!
