3D Printed Face Shields for Medical Personel
Donation protected
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we here at Omelko Research decided to join the charge to manufacture and distribute face shields. We are currently focused on our local area which is Utica, NY but we truly believe that with everyone coming together we could help not only our local community but everyone surrounding us as well.
We started the production of our face shields 3 days ago and are working around the clock to produce as many as possible. We found a design that not only optimizes production time and the cost to make, but additionally is very comfortable to wear and allows for free airflow which is very important especially when wearing protection devices such as these for a long period of time.
The following machines are our own homemade 3d printers which are now printing parts for face shields nonstop.
This is the finished product. We went with the Prusa design which as you can see does a great job optimizing cost, production time, and airflow. With just a few low cost parts that were readily available, the material costs came in at around $3.
The funds donated will be used to produce, assemble and distribute as many face shields as possible! Our goal from the very beginning was to donate as many face shields as we can produce to our local area and to the surrounding areas. With everyone's help we can truly have an impact and help those in need.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have. You can reach us the following ways:
