Help Albion Primary School Create a Safe, Active Space for Our Children and Community

We are raising funds for Albion Primary School to transform our outdoor space into an inspiring area for children to learn, play and stay active.

Our goal is to fix and update our multi-use games area (MUGA) with astroturf, add shelter and improve access to toilets (making the space practical for longer use) giving pupils a proper space for PE lessons, sports and daily play. Currently, the MUGA is limited (one door would not open, the floor is concrete and the size is small for adults to use as a 5-a-side match) and this project would make a huge difference to the children’s physical health, confidence and enjoyment of school life.

But this isn’t just for the school day.

We also want to create a space that can be used by the wider community outside school hours—a safe and welcoming environment where families and local residents can come together, stay active and connect while playing different sports activities.

This project will have a lasting impact—not just for current pupils, but for future generations and the whole community. It will have a positive impact on children's healthier lifestyles beating the obesity crisis in Southwark.

To kick things off, our amazing children are taking part in the TCS Mini London Marathon 2026, challenging themselves while raising money for this important cause. Our total goal is £50k and we have to start somewhere, so here we are!
