Hi, my name is Ava. I’m 14 years old, and I recently lost the one thing that meant the most to me in this world — my horse, Phoenix Rising.
Phoenix wasn’t just a horse. He was my heart horse — my best friend, my soulmate, my safe space when nothing else felt okay. He carried me through my toughest days, stood by me when I felt alone, and gave me a kind of love I’ll never be able to describe in words. A month ago, I had to say goodbye to him — and it shattered me.
I miss the sound of his hooves. I miss the way he’d nuzzle me when I was sad. I miss the quiet moments — just me and him, in a world that finally felt like it made sense.
Since losing him, everything feels… quieter. Emptier. There’s a piece of my heart missing.
But I know Phoenix would want me to keep going. To keep riding. To keep loving. That’s why I’m here — to ask for help in finding my next partner. Not to replace Phoenix — no horse ever could — but to help me heal, to give me hope again, and to carry on the dreams Phoenix helped me build.
I’m raising money to buy a new horse — someone I can connect with, grow with, and begin a new chapter with. It’s hard to ask for help, but I truly can’t do this on my own.
If you’ve ever loved a horse — or lost one — you understand the pain and the love that never leaves. Any donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to that next heartbeat I can call my own.
Phoenix got sick suddenly. We did everything we could. His vet bills totaled over $11,000, but despite every effort, Phoenix didn’t come home. He fought so hard, and we fought for him — because he deserved everything. Now, we’re left with heartbreak… and no horse.
Thank you from the bottom of my broken but hopeful heart.
Love,
Ava
