My husband, Gary Kerr, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on January 23, 2013. We were both shocked and devastated to learn he had this fairly rare form of blood cancer. He has undergone 3 months of chemo in preparation for a Stem Cell Transplant. He will be admitted to the hospital on June 24, 2013 for his transplant. Unfortunately this disease as well as most diseases is very costly. He is on Short Term Disability, but that only pays 66% of his base salary and I am currently not working very much as I am taking care of him and our 3 boys. Thus far the expense includes: numerous copays, medical tests/lab insurance does not cover, transportation expenses such as gas, tolls and parking, and the extras that Gary will need for a successful recovery from his transplant. Gary, myself, Cameron, Austin and Nathan would like to say thank you for everyone's support!!!! This includes all the prayers, thoughts, cards and support we have already received.
