In Loving Memory of Hannah Smith

It is with a heavy heart that yesterday July 4, 2025 my dear friend Toni lost her daughter Hannah Smith after a long battle with SCA7, a rare genetic disease. Hannah has fought this disease that has robbed her of her sight, speech, all motor functions but even then she had the will to continue on and live. She learned braille, attended her prom and graduated high school. She fought hard until her body was to tired and passed peacefully in her sleep at home with her family. Toni has been a single mother and the sole caretaker/ provider to Hannah and as well as her other children and grandchildren for many years, with failing health of her own. Since Toni is without income she is worried that she will not be able to give her daughter the memorial she wants for her.
