so it’s now been a few months since we found out Sam needed surgery, the donations so far have been so helpful, so he now has a brace and sling so he can still get out to the toilet and has had his medications to keep him comfortable.
we now have great news… we have found a vet that is willing to do his operation at a lower cost so it looks like we can now afford to fix the leg. We are asking for one last push to cover the final cost of this surgery. His surgery is booked for 20/11/25. This is amazing news and we should have him hopefully walking again for Christmas. Again any help would be greatly appreciate and I will keep everyone updated on his recovery.
Sam is an 8 year old pointer cross, rescued by myself and my partner at 8 months old from a Spanish kill pen.
He was brought over to uk and has slotted into our family like he was always here. He’s has many adventures with us, moving around the country from racing to polo he knows it all.
we have devastatingly found out Sam has torn his crucial ligaments in his stifle and the only options is surgery or pts. Unfortunately this is not something that will be covered under the insurance as it only covers accidents and this is degenerative.
Sam was a happy and healthy boy, he spends his days out on the yard, hacking with the horses and playing with his little brother, however currently he is stuck inside on pain medication awaiting an operation that we can’t afford.
we are a hard working couple however the price of this operation is just something we can’t afford and I can’t start to imagine life without my best friend.
we are asking for any donations or shares to help get Sam the surgery he needs to get back out there playing in the fields again. All donations will be used for the surgery and recovery and I will update with photos during the process.
thank you to anyone who donates and or shares.
