Hi, my name is Paul Steenblok. A member of ILWU local 502. My wife Wendy, a F board casual at 502,got diagnosed with the brain a tumour last night after having seizures in her hand losing control of her left hand completely. She had an MRI today and CT scans to see if the cancer has come from another part of her body. I don’t wanna leave my wife at this time And hoping that maybe I can get a little help so that I can stay with my wife during this hard time. Thank you all
The CT scans showed no cancer from neck down. She will be transferred to Royal Columbia Hospital to get a biopsy done on the tumour. Then we wait for results and information. Thanks again.
Wendy is at RCH. Surgery tomorrow (June 6) morning . Surgeon says def cancer. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your support.
Wendy is out of surgery. Doctor said he got all he could see out. She is awake and doing well. Left arm is weak but we are hopeful she will get good mobility back.
will have to do chemotherapy and radiation for awhile
Wendy has been transferred to Langley hospital to hopefully regain use of her arm and hand.
