My Brother's Funeral

Donation protected
Hello everyone. It is with the heaviest heart that our lives have come to this point. No parent should have to outlive their children, but that is just what has happened to my family. My older brother, Danny left us this past Monday morning. He was very young,  just barely turned 25 this past September. The oldest of three siblings, a son, a husband, and a loving soul is gone.

My brother was a member of the United States Marine Corps, serving five full years of self-sacrifice for you and me. He loved it, but he humbled himself because he never bragged about it. He loved basketball, even though he was only 5'4, he always believed he was "10 foot tall and bulletproof". That's why I looked up to him so much and so often. With his words of wisdom and his support, I knew I couldn't fail. Not only me, he had this effect on his friends, as well. Since Danny and I were only two years apart, we were inseperable as kids, even through the fighting and all.

He was a fine young man, and he spent his time, his money, his words in the service of others. He had nothing to prove. I am blessed to have been able to call him my brother, as my family is blessed to have had the chance to raise him. While my family and I didn't have the opportunity to be with him in his last moments, we want Danny to be respected in evey degree he deserves as we lay him down to rest at the Houston National Cemetery.

We are asking today for any and all donations anyone is willing to part with to help us cover the funeral expenses. Danny left behind a family of a younger 13-year old sister, myself, and my parents, along with his high school sweetheart of a wife. It is a difficult enough situation for us here without a financial burden to bear.

Danny's wake is on Monday, the 14th and the funeral home is willing to be flexible with us, but not by much. The sooner we can get the funds, as there is not a payment plan option for us, the sooner we can get my brother what he desired. His final wish was to be cremated.

We are forever grateful to you all for your help. Our family is together during this trial, under unfavorable circumstances, but together nonetheless. God bless you, and God bless Danny. May he rest in peace.
