Hello! My name is Nefertiti, and you may know me as thenotoriousnef/thisisnefertiti online. It can be extremely embarrassing asking for assistance from strangers, but I’ve run out of options and the situation is extremely urgent.

On 11/26, I had to move out of my apartment on very short notice. I’m currently staying at my childhood home, which is very overwhelming and isn’t a stable place for me. After spending more than $1,000 applying for places and getting denied due to my previous landlord trash-talking me, I was finally approved for a rental home that’s within my price range. I am on unpaid medical leave from my full-time job but will be returning to work on December 4th, so rent for January won’t be an issue. But I need to take action as soon as possible so I don’t lose the opportunity. I need help so I can cross the finish line and sign the lease THIS WEEKEND (11/28-11/30) to not lose the house. The security deposit is $1,300, and the first month’s rent is also $1,300.

I’ve been out of work for 17 months due to the severity of my bipolar disorder and autoimmune disorder, and it has completely knocked me off my feet. I even lost my health insurance, which means I can no longer get the treatment I needed to be functional again and can no longer afford the medications I take to manage my illness. I’m doing everything I can to hold it together, but the stress of this move, instability at home, and lack of access to care have pushed me to a really dark place. Pretty much the only reason I stay alive is because I have three ESAs that I love and would be devastated if anything happened to them.

My family hasn’t been willing to help financially (and instead has done nothing but judge me for a situation that’s out of my control), and I’ve already reached out to everyone I know with no success. I have nowhere else to turn, so anything at all (even just a share/repost) means so much to me.
