Eliza's Brain Surgery Care Fund
Donation protected
Please help us raise money for my little sister Eliza's medical bills and cost of living throughout her care and brain surgery. As many of you know, Eliza has lived with epilepsy for almost half of her life. She took a fall during a seizure at work and checked in to the hospital because she was feeling especially bad, assuming she had a severe concussion. A few brain scans found a brain tumor in her left frontal lobe. It is not small, and has never before been detected in past yearly scans so we aren't sure how quickly it is growing. It is in the location assumed to trigger her epilepsy so we are hoping a removal would give Eliza a better quality of life.
It is still very early in the process and the doctors are not entirely sure what kind of tumor it is. They want to biopsy it before a removal surgery, but we were told the area is incredibly dangerous to operate on so they do not want to take any actions quite yet. Eliza has been in the hospital for four days now and will have a a few doctor appointments over the next couple weeks. She is very likely going down to Phoenix to have the removal surgery if things remain as they are. She is incredibly drained and has been a trooper throughout all of the scans and tests they have completed on her, but will have many more to go.
Eliza graduated high school, turned eighteen, and moved out on her own just a few months ago. She has been working full time and planned to start at Coconino Community College next semester. We would love your support to help Eliza pay her cost of living while she is healing from surgery. Funds would also go towards the cost of traveling to and from Phoenix. Her insurance will cover a helpful amount of hospital bills but she is incredibly worried about how she will pay her rent and it breaks my heart to see her dealing with this so early in her adventure out in the world as an adult. Any extra expenses that are not used for living or medical bills will go towards starting school when she is healed. My sister means so much to me and if you cannot contribute, please share to keep the word going. Thank you all for the positive thoughts, prayers, happy juju, good vibes, and unconditional support. It means everything.
