Sam is my beautiful FTM transgender boy who is now twenty years old and about to take on the next phase of transitioning from female to male.  This site is to raise money for his top surgery (the removal of his breasts) so that he will have a male appearing chest, to continue his physical transition.

He has been on Testosterone for about 10 months and is so excited for this surgery to finally take place; a dream come true!! Sam has always been an “A” student and a gifted singer-songwriter, performing for the public, charity events and senior nursing homes. He is also an advocate for other transgender people, posting blogs about his knowledge from transitioning and offering guidance to those that would like to further their education on the subject.  I would love for him to receive as much support as he has offered others over his lifetime!

Sam has always been an incredibly supportive and positive person, and puberty created an emotional challenge.  He felt like a boy on the inside, and to suddenly be seen as (and have the body of) a woman was incredibly depressing and difficult. He loves life and does all he can to make it a fun, uplifting, worthwhile experience, so this sudden depression was extremely hard on him and hard for me to watch. For him now to finally feel more in sync with himself mentally, and soon physically, is such an amazing and important experience. He is one of the most genuinely thoughtful and supportive people I know and I know that any support he receives through this fund is going to be greatly appreciated!

Sam’s surgery requires 3-4 weeks of post-op recovery, so he is in need of financial assistance towards some medical costs and living expenses as he heals and takes time off work.  Any donation is greatly appreciated.
