This is probably the hardest thing ive ever had to do.

20th July i was diagnosed with cancer on my kidney (not life threatening).

Its been a very stressful few weeks and a lot to process as im a fit and healthy bloke, going to the gym most days, hardly drink anymore neither..

The reason im setting up this page is because its become very clear that there is very little help in way of financial support. Im a hard working man and will usually work 7 days a week to support my self and my 5 kids.. im self employed so when I go into hospital I will not be earning!!

Ive gone down the usual routes of macmillan and maggies for support and ive just been told I need to wait till im actually in hospital to be able to make a claim for any type of benefits and even then it can take up to 6wks to sort out....

Like I say im a hard working man and always pay my way. This diagnoses came shortly after I paid out all of my savings on my kids birthdays, so im now left high and dry with no support..

Im currently only renting a room but im worried when im off work recovering i wont be able to afford my rent so im asking for help to cover just two months rent which is £1100.

The last thing i need is to be kicked out of where im living whilst in recovery..

I hate asking for help but a few friends have suggested this route.
