Support Olivia's Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Olivia Ayiku and I’m a student at Duke University. About two years ago, I was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), a rare and incurable liver disease, along with other related medical conditions. I was recently diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a type of cancer in the bile ducts.

I will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, along with other treatment to manage my cancer until I can get a donor for a liver transplant. Treatment and surgery will be costly, so all contributions are greatly appreciated. My family and I need your prayers and support through this process.

With great determination and faith, I am hopeful that God will carry me through this and I hope that my community can come together to support me through this journey. Dying is not an option and giving up is not in my blood.

I hope to complete my education at Duke University and graduate with a degree in Global Health and Public Policy. I have a story to tell, and I hope I can be here, alive, and well to tell this story. I want to encourage everyone at any stage in life to make the conscious decision to fight for themselves, even when surrendering to the perils of life seems like the only option.
