Ella Victoria Bailey was born on July 1st in Swedish Hospital at 34 weeks due to some complications with fluid build up around the lungs. She was expected to be in the NICU anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months. Everything changed on July 22nd at 4am when Chris and Maria got a call saying Ella was not doing well. She suffered pulmonary embolisms which blocked 4 of her 6 pulmonary lobes. She was then transferred to Children's so that she could undergo a full heart and lung bypass (ECMO). This is all very risky and Ella is fighting very hard for her life. In the meantime, gas/food/medical costs are becoming burdening on mom and dad. In addition, they can't have their two year old Owen in the parent sleep rooms because siblings aren't allowed in the hospital past 8pm and the Ronald McDonald house has a very long waiting list so they are faced with potential long term lodging and day care costs. Any help so that mom and dad can fully focus on Baby Ella would be a huge relief.
