Cowboy was swooped up by a hawk and carried three houses away and dropped from about 50’. The hawk’s talons sliced Cowboy and left large, gaping wounds. I rushed him to urgent care, and they stapled one of his wounds and bandaged his whole body. I took him for his first check back to my vet, which was good because they said he shouldn’t have been stapled or wrapped tightly. He had a horrible infection in the large wound.
So, we then began hydrotherapy, a stronger antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and pain medication. His wounds aren’t healing very fast, but it’s getting better every day. We reassess his treatment plan this Saturday.
