Seven days ago Jill Ingles fell ill with a potentially fatal and rare infection, Necrotizing Fasciitis, or more commonly known as “flesh-eating infection”. Necrotizing fasciitis is a serious bacterial skin infection that spreads quickly and kills the body's soft tissue. (Necrotizing means "causing the death of tissues.") Accurate diagnosis, prompt treatment with antibiotics through a vein, and surgery are important to stopping this infection that can become life-threatening in a very short amount of time. In Jill’s first six days of hospital stay she has had two surgeries, will have another in a couple of days and there will be more. She remains in critical care. Jill is a strong, beautiful soul and has impacted the lives of countless people. Her infectious smile and laugh has lifted the hearts of many. She has spent the majority of her life giving herself to benefit others. On behalf of Jill, we are collecting donations to help ease what will be a long road of healing and recovery for our beloved friend, sister and aunt.
Any amount helps as we are hoping to off-set recovery, rehabilitation and living expenses for Jill. Though she does have health insurance, large co-pays and deductibles are piling up and will amount to thousands of dollars of debt. The recovery and rehabilitation time is estimated to be near six months, possibly more. During this time Jill will not be able to work. Simple things we take for granted every day like food and medical supplies etc. need to be provided for her. She needs to be able to keep the utilities to her home up and running (electricity and water).
Again, any amount will help. Most importantly we ask you to pray for the healing of this most loved woman.
