Aloha, my name is Kalei and I am Chase's mom. My son is in his third-year at the University of Windsor, in Ontario, Canada, where he is majoring in Criminology, minoring in Psychology. He was recruited to play Men's Volleyball during his final year at Kamehameha Schools, Keaau. Chase has made an impression in OUA Sports over the last few years, where he is nicknamed "The Flying Hawaiian." It has been a blessing and honor for him to be a part of such a wonderful program and to have the opportunity to live abroad. Unfortunately, with Chase being a US citizen, he cannot transfer any grants or scholarships from the US to an International school nor does he qualify for Canadian financial aid. The only funding he is able to receive is directly offered by the University, such as his athletic and academic scholarships and Student Loans from FAFSA. This year he did not receive the full submission from his US Student Loans as expected, and now owes $4,000.00 to the University by December 2023, or else he will be dismissed. He is a full-time student and athlete, working two jobs, doing all he can to persevere while living in another country. Chase is motivated to inspire others to pursue what people would say is impossible. We would be truly grateful for any kokua offered to get him through the remainder of the school year. Mahalo for your time and consideration. Much Aloha!
