Taking Care Of Taylynn

Taylynn is the daughter of good friends and neighbors Matt and Josie Richardson. Last week she developed surgical complications from a planned procedure. They were unable to repair the complication due to the severity of infection in her body. The doctors determined it was best for her to leave her open and have her in a medically induced coma and try to close the incision at a later date. This morning they took her back to the operating room where they were able to close the muscle incision in her stomach but still left the skin open. They are giving her more time to fight the infection. Josie is a stay at home mom of three wonderful kids. Matt is currently laid off for the winter. We all know how expensive hospital stays can be. Taylynn will be in pediatric intensive care at St. Mary's for atleast 2-3 more weeks with a plan if atleast one more surgery. This family is going through so much right now, they also have a 2 month old son Acen who is having health issues and also being treated at Mayo.
