Brady's Medical/Travel Expenses

Brady is the 8 year old son of Patrick and Jessica Bedgood that was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in April 2012. In the last 5 years that we have been treating his Crohn's disease he has had numerous surgeries, procedures, and hospitalizations in 5 different hospitals from Dallas, TX to Atlanta, GA. Brady had a diverting ileostomy for 1 year before developing diversion colitis from disuse which required reattaching his colon to fix this issue. He then was diagnosed with gastric paresis in February and in September this caused his stomach to stop moving food. Currently Brady is on 2 biologic medications, Humira and Entvyio and these 2 medications together cost around $20k every 2 months and he is one of the few pediatric patients in the nation on both. Since he has been on both a little over a month now they seem to be working according to labs but now insurance wants us to get yet another second opinion but this time we will have to travel to Cincinnati. And without the help of our family and friends we will not be able to make this trip. We started our journey at LeBonheur but soon went to Children's of Alabama where we found Dr.Hitch who is now at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, LA. We have also seen 3 other specialists for "second opinions", 2 in Atlanta and 1 in Dallas, TX. We have had to travel back and forth to Baton Rouge(12 hour round trip) almost monthly for the last year. He was hospitalized for almost a month at one point last year. Although we will always do what we have to for Brady's health it is taking a toll on us as a family both emotionally and financially. Every time we travel to an appointment it requires a minimum of at least 1 hotel room, gas, and all food for the time gone. We are graciously asking for your help so we can try to catch up on some medical expenses and expenses we have incurred from all of the travel as well as any future travel needed to continue to help him reach remission.
