Update: Heartfelt Thanks from Joe’s Family

This is Joe’s mother, writing on behalf of our family. I wanted to personally thank every individual who has donated—from those who grew up with him, worked with him, or met him through skateboarding. We are truly moved by the community coming together in support of Joe; it has helped us realize just how many people knew him.

While we are deeply grateful, we are updating everyone today that we have not yet reached our goal to cover the funeral expenses to give him a proper burial. As you can imagine, this sudden loss has left our family in a very vulnerable position in reaching out for help. We are continuing to reach out to the community—and to new audiences—for any help you can provide to honor Joe’s memory, sharing is still appreciated!

As many of you may know by now, Joe unexpectedly passed away and as you can probably imagine, his family is taken aback by this sudden loss. We are not prepared for the costs of a funeral and so we are reaching out to our community, those who know him and other family members to help put him to rest. Any support, big or small, would be greatly appreciated as you can imagine the devastation this has taken on both his mother and father’s health. We are trying to lift some of this unexpected burden off of their shoulders. If you are not able to contribute financially, sharing this link means just as much to us!
