Mike's Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Hi All,
Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page. My name is Linda. This page is a desperate plea for help on behalf of my husband Mike and our family.

His name is Mike LeBlanc, aged 42 from Moncton.
Our lives were turned upside down on December 2nd, 2016 things started to get worse again and cancer had returned to his colon, lower rectum, and liver.Mike had many blood tests, MRI, CT scans & appointments with the oncologist Dr.Pierre Whitlock. He finally got medication to ease the severe pain too. He's on medical leave now but EI only helps for 15 weeks which is not enough because his doctor has him off for 6 months. We had our whole lives planned ahead of us. So it all started: the biopsies and then the grueling chemotherapy. He went for a day surgery to get a port a cath inserted. We're scheduled to go to Halifax to see the cancer specialist on the 30th of January for a consultation with Dr. Porter.Mike will have to go for chemotherapy every two weeks to shrink cancer for 2 to 3 months then go for a big surgery in Halifax afterward. We're happy that Dr. Pierre Whitlock had a plan in mind for us to beat this because we were in the dark for long enough. Mike has fought so hard over the years against all the odds. He has fought for our daughter's sake more than anything else. They have an unbreakable bond. She is 21 now and has grown up with the shadow of this nasty disease over our little family. When she comes to spend time with Mike at our apartment. Even though he is weakened and down, she manages to brighten even his darkest moments and put a smile back on his face. I feel inspired when I watch the two of them together but have to fight the urge to cry as it is so heartbreaking.But....we, and especially Mike are refusing to give up hope. Everybody who meets Mike is blown away by his huge vibrant personality, his great sense of humor and his overwhelming kindness and love he has always shown. He has never felt sorry for himself and just wants to be able to have the life he always dreamed of the biggest part of that is being able to see our daughter Isabelle grow up. Our family is not complete without Mike in it. Isabelle needs her daddy and I need the love of my life. If you could donate whatever you can afford we would be eternally grateful.

Thank you for reading our story. Time is not on our side but having hope is keeping us going.
