The family of Sandra (Morrow) Livingstone has set up this GoFundMe campaign because she is in need of a double-lung transplant. A Prince Edward Islander, born and raised in Souris and a longtime resident of Charlottetown, Sandra is the mother of two and the grandmother of six. A woman who prefers to be in the background, Sandra is nonetheless loved by everyone who knows her, and is the heart of her immediate family. For the past 16 years, Sandra has been living with Acute Extrinsic Allergic Alveolitis and Bronchiectasis. Over time, and numerous hospital admissions, Sandra’s lung capacity has been reduced significantly. Her condition is critical and in decline. We need to act now. Following assessments in Charlottetown and Halifax, Sandra has been approved for a series of tests in Toronto that will finally determine whether she is a candidate for a double-lung transplant. Sandra and her husband Robert must stay in Toronto until the test results are determined. Should she be approved, they will have to remain in Toronto until the procedure takes place and Sandra recuperates. This is where we need your help. 100% of the funds raised by this campaign will be used for travel, accommodation, and associated costs for Sandra and her husband in aid of seeking the best possible future for Sandra, and hopefully life-changing, though major surgery.
