Hi, my name is Aline and I’m fundraising for my mother Sonia who lost everything in a house fire yesterday. I’m originally from Brazil, and that’s where my mother currently lives.

She is a hairdresser and rented a house to live in and work from. Unfortunately, everything she owned was lost in the fire.

She wasn’t home when the fire started. When she arrived, in an attempt to save her cat Mimi, she instinctively entered the burning house but unfortunately couldn’t find him in time to save him. She inhaled a lot of smoke, but after a night in the hospital feels like she escaped with only minor injuries.

My mom is the strongest person I know, she has helped more people and stray animals than I can count and it breaks my heart that life keeps testing her in such ways.

We love her and would like to help her rebuild her life after this tragedy. The money will go to basic urgent necessities, fees to get her passport replaced, and work equipment to get her back at doing what she loves.
