Let us introduce you to our friends Lee and Kelly Elmer. Lee and Kelly are the quiet, shy couple you’ll find sitting in the back of the church. They are loving, prayerful friends who would rather keep their personal lives to themselves. So, for us to start a Go Fund Me is not something to take lightly. In July 2020, Kelly had a routine root canal. Shortly after, she became very sick. Over the course of the next two years, Kelly ended up with emergency surgery, multiple hospitalizations, and repeated complications. She had multiple blood clots (including one in her femoral artery), endocarditis, open heart surgery, and a stroke; all from a routine root canal! By December 2022, she developed an aneurysm in her aortic root, blood clot in her lung, and required a second heart surgery and lengthy hospital stay. Due to the extensive recovery, Kelly eventually lost her job.

Lee has been carrying the stress of trying to care for Kelly, maintain the household, and working a lot of overtime. The stress of this caused him to develop AFib. After a visit to the hospital himself, praise God his heart rate returned to normal on its own but is still being monitored.

We am sharing all of this so you can see what they have endured for the last few years. The co-payments are far exceeding their income. None of the hospitals are willing to work with Lee and Kelly to reduce the payments or work out a reasonable payment plan.

On top of all the medical strife, within the last year, they have had to have their A/C-Heater unit replaced. Now their water heater needs to be replaced.

We ask for continued prayers for both Lee and Kelly. If there is any way you could help them during their financial need, it would be greatly appreciated. Your donation would go towards monthly medication bills, recent breakdowns of essential items at home, food expenses and co-payments of medical bills.
