Hi, Patrick here, and this is really hard for me to do, and if this offends anybody, please just pass on, this is not my intent.
I am almost 60 and two years ago I had some severe spinal surgery which has taken me awhile to get back to normal. I am now and have been back to my job for about twenty months. In that time I have had much difficulty getting medical bills paid and keeping up with rent etc. Which has all been going well but slowly the debt is eating away my finances. I am now about to be evicted from my residence as I am a month behind in rent, also utilities are far behind. I have applied for financial assistance with the utility companies and have applied for food stamps. The problem is, I tend to make too much money to apply. I am just above the level to qualify. I have also checked out the civic housing authority and with the same response. Thankfully I have been able to make very minimum payments to the medical bills, to avoid going into collections
I figure with the help I am asking, this will get me caught up and put me back into working my budget
I have looked into part time jobs that will accomodate my two days off from my permanent job. Often the times are not good for my schedule. Due to the outcome of my surgery I am unable to lift anything above 10 pounds. My job is good and I don't want to rearrange my schedule with them as they have been very accomodating with all I went through with my surgery.
Of course this is very embarrasing for me to ask, but I would be forever thankful for any assistance. Not sure where else to turn to. Thank you very much for your consideration.
