My mom, Marcy, passed away early this morning. She had been struggling with pulmonary fibrosis the last couple of years and was very recently diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 cancer. Last week she fell, and thinking we’d be defeating another setback, we’re dealing with a much different reality. Within one week, we went from talking and thinking we’d have much more time with her, to planning her funeral.

I’m not one to ask for help, but being able to fulfill my mom’s last wishes is going to be challenging. She and my dad live on a very small fixed income and they have been raising my niece and nephew full-time. My mom had no life insurance. Please consider donating whatever you’re able to help us lay her to rest and still be able to support her grandchildren who are 100% dependent on them.

She was a wonderful lady who would do anything to help other people. Let’s show her the same compassion in this time when the family needs it most.
