This is my sister Shawna. She was recently diagnosed with stage 2a- Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma.
Due to the size of the tumor and the 8 additional satellite masses, the boob could not be saved.
Cancer has spread to the lymph nodes. Because of her age, treatments are more aggressive with chemo and radiation.
Insurance is a high deductible plan (as she never expected to get cancer at 33)
Genetic results are all negative which just means she's very unlucky. Boo.
She has a 13 year old daughter, Lexi Lou, who is the light of her life and needs her mom to be able to focus on healing and recovering!! Her S.O. Larry and kids Erin, Morgan, Lexi and Lilly, are doing everything they can to support and be by Shawna's side, but the worry of paying medical bills, lost wages from being unable to work, and being sick from treatment are too much.
She is a true recreater, anytime she can she is on the water, hiking, skiing, camping, fishing, and much more. She has worked many different locations being a guide and teaching people outdoor skills. You could find her rafting at any main river in Montana or teaching paddle boarding at Lake Elmo. You've probably run into her at Yellowstone park as she took you through tours! She works at Sunshine Sports and loves helping customers gain love for the outdoors. My sister has given so much to people in helping them appreciate all that nature offers, but nature isn't being so kind right now to her.
Medical bills are stacking up and she can't do this alone. Cancer as you know takes too many lives and destroys them, please consider donating so that my sister can put her focus where it should belong, her family. She needs your help to save the Boobs and get herself back doing what she loves!!
