Hi, my name is Hillary and I was born and raised my whole life in America. Recently, I have discovered that my ancestors' hometown caught on fire. This devasting disaster has caused many families without homes and left fending for themselves in a already poverty stricken area. I'm here because I have been hurt directly by this and even though I am half way around the world, it's my duty to help those I have come to love even if I don't know them directly. My aunt lives in this small community and has been friends with these people for her whole life, my mom and her brothers and sisters left this life behind to find a better future for themselves and for the next generation. As a next generation child, I'm here to pave the way to help give back to the community that provided my family with a shelter and a childhood. I'm hoping to reach others who have come from immigrant parents and who know the sacrifices our parents have made to come here. I want these people, back in my family's hometown, to know that not only my family's hearts ache due to this tragedy, but so do we as the children, because we know the hardships they must be facing now more than ever. Please help all that you can and if you can't, at least pray for those whose lives and belongings were stripped from them.
