Help Benji get his Surgery

Hi everyone, my name is Analy, and about three weeks ago, I found Benji, a stray dog with no microchip or owner. When I first found him, he was very malnourished and seemed to have been abused by his previous owners by the scars on his leg and his timid attitude. My family and I decided to take him in, and after a couple of tries, we were unsuccessful in finding his owner. For the first 48 hours of Benji living with us, I noticed he hadn't had any bowel movements, so I took him to the vet. They diagnosed him with a bilateral perineal hernia, most likely caused by the lousy food given to him previously. This type of hernia can cause strangulation of the bowel, loss of blood supply, obstruct urination, among other life-threatening symptoms. I was very saddened by the news and, since then, have been researching everything I can to get him the hernia removal surgery ASAP. Many veterinarians don't even do such surgery of how difficult and dangerous it is. Although it's been a short period of three weeks since having Benji, he has made such an impact in my life and I cannot imagine life without him anymore. He has not only impacted our family's life in the best way possible, but he has also become my best friend and companion. In only three weeks, Benji's attitude has changed; he is much more energetic; I have been buying him medicine and special foods to help with bowel movements, he has improved so much in such a short time, he seems like a brand new dog since we first found him. I want to save Benji's life the way he helped save mine. Any small action will help and will be greatly appreciated, whether it's helping us share his story or contributing any amount of proceeds for his surgery.
