Waseca Police Officer Arik Matson was shot and critically wounded in the line of duty on January 6, 2020.  Officer Matson is a member and friend of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA).

Arik was in a rehab facility in Omaha, NE for over 7 months,  away from his family and friends. On  Monday, October 19, 2020 he came home to his family.   

While he has made great progress in his recovery he still will have a long road ahead of him and his family.
