Help Scott's Road to Recovery
Scott's journey:
On May 21st, Scott went out mountain biking. He had taken the day off work and wanted to visit the area of the Santa Monica Mountains that both Scott and Heather love. Starting to worry as time went on, Heather checked on his phone location and discovered he was at the UCLA Medical Center. He was discovered by hikers, unconscious, and was airlifted to the hospital. Heather was directed to the Neuro Trauma ICU. He suffered a serious head injury, broken shoulder and a fractured sternum.
After several weeks of being heavily sedated and unresponsive, we are beginning to get the old Scott back. However, it is an extremely long road to recovery and Scott and Heather could use our help. He has shown tremendous strength in all that he has accomplished. He has had to relearn how to swallow, speak, and walk. He continues to work very hard on being able to adjust to daily tasks that we all take for granted. He will remain in a rehab facility for some time as he works on getting these strengths back.
This is a challenging time for Scott and his family and they could use our help. He will be out of work for quite awhile and any donation would go a long way in this trying time. Please help show your love and support by contributing.
