HOPE for David
Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends,
My name is Vanessa Farfan-Cuadros, and I am writing to you as I am sitting in the waiting area of the hospital as my brother David is in surgery.
For those of you who have known David, know that he has always suffered with his health.
Before David was even born, our mother had to go through 5 fetal surgeries at UCSF Hospital to ensure David's health. When David was born he weighed less than 2 lbs and had to undergo surgery to remove 1 kidney right away.
On his 17th birthday, David was fortunate enough to be blessed with a kidney transplant received from our Aunt. Sadly only 5 years after his kidney transplant, David's body started to reject the kidney and he then had to have surgery to remove the kidney as it was dying inside of him. Since then, David had to get back on dialysis and receive treatments 4 times a week.
David also had to endure many major surgeries to stay alive. He has already had 2 fingers from his right hand amputated and as I am sitting here writing to all of you, he is having both legs amputated to below his knees, due to poor blood circulation.
David is now 36 years old, and is still the best man I have ever known, however HE needs your help. Even though our family has done thier best in supporting David, it is very over whelming. We are reaching out to our friends and family and humbly ask for any amount of donations possible to assist in Davids medical needs (meds/treatments) as well as everyday needs as he is unable to work right now.
David is in need of an electric wheel chair, prosthetics for his legs, therapy as he will need to learn how to walk again, help with transportation to and from hospital visits, and co-payments for medications. Even though David does have medical insurance, it does not cover everything.
Please help us save David, give him the quality of life he deserves, and giving him the HOPE he needs that this is going to be ok and he will be ok with the help from all those who love and support him. God Bless David and everyone he has touched and made a difference in their lives.
