Hi guys! You probably know from my recent Facebook posts that my dog Buster got paralyzed in his back legs. I adopted him about a year and a half ago from Rocket Dog rescue. He came from a very bad living conditions where he was just kept outside in the backyard day in and day out. When I got him he already had problems with his back legs due to the abuse. But his desire to live and explore the world was so strong, that within two months we were able to walk to Goldengate Park (7 blocks from my house) and explore things and meet other doggies. He is such a sweet boy! If you have met him you know exactly what I'm talking about. He will give you kisses and will just stay by your side. Yesterday I was trying to take him and my other dog Lucy for a walk and he just couldn't walk anymore! Overnight he got the paralysis in his back legs and is not able to move around anymore. We took him right away to see a specialist at the VCA hospital. He needs to get an MRI so I can figure out how to proceed from there. I made an appointment to see the surgeon in Daly city Hospital this coming Thursday. I want to do everything I can to make him comfortable and walking again! The vet bills are really high especially for the MRI and the surgery. I will be definitely digging into my savings to do anything I possibly can. Unfortunately the amounts for everything are just overwhelming and I'm not prepared for that... I am probably looking at $15000-20000 total. I know some of you may think that it's crazy to spend that kind of money on a dog. But to me he's not just the pet. He is my family and the only family I have in the United States. And you don't ever give up on your family. Anything helps even one dollar adds up. Please help me to help my boy! I can't and I will not give up on him!
