On October 30th, our sweet dog Tequila injured her right hind leg while playing in the backyard. That night, she couldn’t put any weight on it, and we knew something was seriously wrong.

The next morning, we took her to the vet, and after x-rays, we received heartbreaking news — Tequila has completely torn her cruciate ligament and will need TPLO surgery, a specialized knee procedure to repair it.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t all. The vet also discovered severe arthritis in her left knee and hip dysplasia in both hips, which means she’ll need lifelong pain management and ongoing care. After surgery, Tequila will stay in the hospital for several days, and her recovery will take time, patience, and continued medical support.

Tequila is truly part of our family — she’s our goofy, loving girl who fills our home with joy every single day. We want nothing more than to see her healthy, happy, and running freely again.
