Support Baby Lainey's Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
As many of you know, my sister Caitlin and her husband, Nolan, welcomed beautiful twin girls, Lainey and Kendall, on July 14th, 2024 at 26 weeks & 5 days. (These feisty little girls couldn’t wait to get here, so Caitlin had been in the hospital on bed rest since she was 20 weeks pregnant trying to prevent preterm labor). For 3+ months in the NICU, these beautiful babies fought through so many obstacles, and were finally able to come home. After just 3 weeks of being home, mom and dad noticed a few spots popping up on Lainey’s little body. “Hemangiomas” is what they were told it was. Thankfully, they didn’t settle with that answer, and took Lainey for further testing. It was discovered that her WBC ( white blood count ) was extremely high, and she was immediately sent to the children’s hospital. Upon further testing, we now know that those spots were the first sign of leukemia in Lainey. At only 4 months old, Lainey, along with her parents, are about to face a very tough battle, and while they are 3 of the strongest people I know, they are still going to need help. This news came the day after Caitlin went back to work, now she is out again and has ran out if options for pay while gone. As you can imagine, this journey will not be cheap, so we are asking for family, friends and anyone out there who is willing, to please contribute. The more money we raise, the more Caitlin and Nolan can focus on being there with their sweet girl without having to worry about bills on top of everything else.
if you are able to donate, any amount helps, and it is VERY MUCH appreciated.
we ask that everyone PRAY HARD. That is what we need the most right now continuous prayer for Lainey’s complete healing, prayer for Caitlin and Nolan, and the rest of the family while we are in this scary journey together, prayers for her sister Kendall who will miss her while she isn’t home, prayers for the medical team to know exactly what to do to get Lainey all better and back home as fast as possible to get all the snuggles and love that she deserves.
we love our sweet Lainey girl
