Hello my name is Donette and I am starting this go fund me page for my very dear friend Shelliea Organista. If you have ever met her, you will never forget her. She is the type of person everyone needs in their life. She has always been a hardworker and willing to help anyone she can. She is one of the strongest people I know and I love her and her family as if they were my own. She had to resign from her job at the post office because of all of these medical issues. So at this point she is on disability and has limited income. Her husband is working to be able to keep her covered under insurance. She is not one that likes to ask for help but sometimes you have to . So I am here asking if there is anything you can do to help her, it will be greatly appreciated. She has been having ongoing medical problems since 2018. As of this year she has been in the hospital for 71 days total. Now the Dallas doctors have done all they can do and are referring her to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. So on June 12 she heads to Cleveland to see specialists to try and figure out what to do next.

As of a few minutes ago she received a call from Cleveland Clinic and they are saying

once she gets there extensive testing will be done. At this time they are telling her if she passes all of this testing , she will be put on the transplant list . They said transplant wait is normally 3-6 months. So if she is a candidate for the transplant she will have to remain in Cleveland until transplant is done. Then once transplant has been done , she will still have to remain in Cleveland another 3-6 months. So she is looking at a long road to recovery. Also she has to have a caretaker with her at all times while she is in Cleveland.

So we are looking at hotel expense, food expense and travel expense to Cleveland and then back and forth to doctors appointments.

I know money is tight for everyone but please help if you can.
