Help Denise with Cancer Treatment

This GoFund Me has been created in hopes to help my late sister Stacey’s oldest child Denise. She is 42 years old with three children Julian 21, Brandon 20 and Al who is 16 and a junior in high school. This past holiday season during Thanksgiving she was diagnosed with stage 3 Lung Cancer. Denise has been placed on disability by her doctor from her work duties. She started her 1st chemo treatment this week but not without being put in a position where she had been forced to decide having to cover home expenses or her cancer treatment. On 1/11/24 Denise received a phone call from the treating hospital that her out of pocket would be 11,000 before her medical insurance would kick in and begin to cover her treatment. She was told that she had a $5,500 deductible to cover before she could receive her chemo port and begin chemotherapy. After many calls made the hospital allowed my niece to pay $1,000 so she could receive her port. Denise’s has to pay $700.00 each time she goes in for chemotherapy. It’s not ideal for anyone to have to cover such an expense even while having health insurance. Cancer does not does not discriminate, regardless of anyone’s age, religion, and race. Cancer is not forgiving. What one goes through unless you’ve actually gone through it there is no imagining. I believe my sister Stacey would be by her daughter side if she could be. I also believe that if my sister was still here she would thank each and everyone for taking the time to share Denise’s story, and for donating.
