My name is Billy Trautner, I started snowboarding when I was 5 years old at Stowe Mountain Resort.  I learned to ski before snowboarding, I fell in love with snowboarding right from day one. When I wasn't riding with my Dad and 2 sisters, I was at the Adventure Center at Stowe Mountain Resort. I learn a lot about snowboarding from great snowboarding instructors at Stowe Mountain Resort Adventure Center program. 


At age 10 I started competing in the USASA  competitions. I was invited to the USASA Nationals at age 11. I have been invited every year since. At age 11 I realized how much I loved snowboarding and competing. This will be my 4 th year going out to USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain in Colorado. 


I am trying to raise money to help my parents pay for my event fees, gear, plane ticket, lodging, food and coaching fees for the trip to The Nationals at Copper Mountain in Colorado. My parents pay for my schooling, coaching, gear, equipment, and other things needed for snowboarding. They have givin up a lot for me to follow my dreams. My dream is to be invited to the X-Games and Olympics.


I have been been riding with GMST (Green Mountain Snowboarding Team) for 2 years now. I have 4 great snowboarding coaches Jason, Jay, George and Mike. They have helped me become a better rider.

This year I have been doing online classes so I can train during the week. I ride almost everyday to emprove my riding skills and master my tricks. I also train at GMTC (Green Mountain Training Center) at least once to twice a week on the trampoline. 

The USASA Snowboarding Nationals are on April 2nd, 2016 Anything you can do to help me would be great. I am Sponcered by Vermont Peanut Butter (pro-athlete ), Powe Snowboards and American Legion Post 33 Morrisville Vermont.
