My name is Tracy, and I'm raising money for my daughter, Ripley (Bailey) Emberton.

On June 4th, Ripley got up out of bed to use the restroom. When she stood up, she didn't realize her foot was numb... and that's where the freak accident begins. She stood up on the numb foot and fell, dislocating her knee, tearing her ACL and other ligaments, breaking her tibia (lower leg bone), AND stretching the nerve down into her foot. To say she is in pain is an understatement.

Ripley and her husband have only been married since May 17th and have no savings to fall back on yet. Also, Ripley does not have medical insurance right now. (She is working on getting on Medicaid, but that may not work out.)

Ripley had a small number of bills before this, but in addition to the appointments she's already had, she will be having surgery on June 23rd to repair as much of the damage as possible. Surgery will be quickly followed by extensive physical therapy, running about $200/week until September when she might be able to return to work at her part-time job.

We're asking for help covering her medical expenses and money to help get Ripley back and forth to all her appointments (90 miles round trip).
