Hello Family, Friends, and Community Members,

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we gather here today to support our Dan and Karolinka Bem. As some of you may already know, they have recently experienced an unimaginable and devastating loss – the passing of a beloved wife and mom, Michaela Hanusova.

Michaela sadly passed away on July 22nd leaving behind her beautiful daughter Karolinka (16) and husband Dan. Michaela was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 and spent all these years putting up an incredible fight for her sweet daughter Karolinka and her husband Dan. Michaela's unwavering strength and her continuous positive mindset during her unimaginable diagnosis are what made all of us truly in awe and inspired during her long battle. Michaela was truly an extraordinary individual who brought joy, laughter, and kindness into the lives of everyone around them. She had an infectious enthusiasm for life that was truly inspiring.

With your continued support, love, and prayers, we are opening up this donation page for you to support Dan and Karolinka while they continue to process the passing of Michaela. All the proceeds will be used to the benefit of Karolinka and her care. Karolinka was born with Cerebral Palsy & Epilepsy. Karolinka's condition requires 24/7 assistance due to her inability to walk, sit or speak. Dan and Karolinka have no other family members in the United States. We are so incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support Michaela has received since her diagnosis and we are truly humbled by those who continue to want to provide.

In moments like this, words often fall short of expressing the depth of grief and pain that Dan and Karolinka are enduring. As a community, we must come together to extend our love, comfort, and support during this incomprehensible time of loss. Every little bit helps.
