Monique Violette has always enjoyed a fulfilling and energetic life. The busy single mother of three was always on the go. Whether at work, home, or out and about enjoying quality time with family and friends, with Monique, there was never time for a dull moment. Then everything changed. Life as she and her children knew it, came to a crashing halt. Due to unseen toxic black mold within their house, the family has lost their home, their health, and all of their personal belongings.
Originally from Riverside, California, in 2008 Monique, her daughter Login, then 10, and Josh, 12, moved into a beautiful rented house in the city of Orange. The move allowed the work-from-home Mom the benefit of better schools for the kids and overall better quality of life. Little did they know, their new home was a toxic breeding ground for unseen deadly black mold. The result of years of constant leaky plumbing, allowing hazardous black mold to grow unseen inside the walls and under the carpets.
In early 2016, Monique ordered two professional inspections which found 14 different species of poisonous molds including Stachybotrys black mold in every wall and every crevice. The family was unaware they had been inhaling and ingesting thousands of deadly airborne mold spores for years. These micro toxins inhabit the body releasing millions of poisonous microscopic colonies as hosts which work to destroy the intestines with fungus and parasites. These parasites attach themselves to white blood cells and in time destroy a person’s central nervous system, cause cancer, blindness and eventually death. After seeking medical attention, due to the length of the family’s long-term exposure, it has been determined that they are at Stage 3 of contamination. Even Lola, the beloved family dog has become severely ill having developed tumors around her belly and skin sores and lesions on her nose.
In May of 2016 after the inspection findings, the family was advised to evacuate the home and leave all personal belongings behind due to the high levels of contamination. This included everything. All furniture, appliances, clothes, family photos and cherished keepsakes. Everything was deemed toxic and unsafe, never to be seen again. Since their evacuation, the family has become homeless, living in random hotels, sleeping on sofas, and pretty much wherever they can find a place to lay their heads. To make matters worse, due to her rapidly declining health, Monique was forced to stop her work as a vendor manager for National Loan Closings, a nation-wide title company, cutting off the family’s only stream of income.
Recently, Monique was admitted and evaluated at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, reaffirming her condition. She and the kids require immediate costly medical attention. Since Monique worked from home, she retained an increased amount of exposure than the kids, which has left her in a heightened state of medical emergency. It is imperative she receive urgent specialized treatment.
