WELCOME TO MY HEAD SHAVING PARTY! This is me 2 months after I turned 52 years of age and I discovered a lump in my left chest that after a biopsy and MRI revealed I had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of my left breast. The following weeks testing came back that it was Triple Negative Breast Cancer which is aggressive & does not respond to hormone therapy and requires 3 nephrotoxic chemotherapy drugs which cost about $22000 a month even with insurance as I work full time as a Respiratory Therapist for over 30 years. Nephrotoxicity is a huge problem because I have one kidney and it is Stage 3b ckd...which means my kidney doesnt work the best anyway. Im asking for help for my cancer treatment because frankly I am at a loss as to how I will pay for cancer treatment even with insurance. Chemotherapy can be very rough on even healthy people let alone someone with congenital kidney problems. My greatest fear is I will end up on dialysis because I tried to survive breast cancer. Anything you can do will help and me, my daughter Liz and Mom all thank you so very much!
