Chief Petty Officer Jared Michael Reaves was taken from us on July 5, 2019 at 11:12 am. He had been diagnosed with Leukemia in August of 2016 and was currently undergoing a clinical trial to rid his body of the cancer. Unfortunately he passed away from complications leaving behind his wife and son.
Marissa has been a rock through the whole ordeal and she is more than Jared's wife. She was his nurse, his best friend, video game partner, sous chef, comedic relief, and, above all, mother to their child, Colton.
Jared's death was sudden and unexpected - after all they were there for the cure - and as with any sudden death, Marissa is left picking up the pieces and paying the ultimate price.
We'd like to help ease her burden, if just a little bit, by raising funds to help cover expenses as she transitions into this new stage of life.
